Installation
Installation
We supply a heavy duty mounting kit for both the camera and solar installation and we include all required cables, to suit your installation. Important: At The Gallops requires local installation on site and we arrange this for customers.
Solar Panel Kit
Solar Panel Kit
Solar panels absorb the sun's rays and efficiently convert them into electricity. The electricity generated charges the supplied batteries which run the camera(s). It is a sustainable solution. The kit is supplied with all panels, batteries, a control unit and all cables.
Camera
Camera
The camera is high definition with fast frame rate, enabling your owners and followers to see the horses in training. A single camera system provides one viewing position. However if you want more, the system is modular. For example, a camera can be zoomed into the start, with a second positioned focused to the top of the gallops. Alternatively, you can physically locate additional cameras on the gallops to suit your requirements.
Wireless Transmitter
Wireless Transmitter
The wireless transmitter/receiver connect broadband internet to the At The Gallops camera. With 'line of sight', they can work over a distance of 2km. They are waterproof and capable of internal or external operation. Where wireless broadband is not available, we can supply a 4G solution. As long as you have a 4G connectivity, a 4G contract can be supplied allowing the cameras to connect to the internet.
Software Platform
Software Platform
The proprietary At The Gallops software and dashboard allows complete control over operation, including allowing us to remotely manage and solve problems for you. We supply an App. available in the App Store for downloading onto any internet connect device, allowing controlled remote viewing to anyone to who, you provide access.

A Trainer's View

Kim Bailey approached us in 2016 to see whether we could supply him with a solar powered gallops camera solution. He wanted to position a camera at the top of his gallops and then make the live view available to visitors on his website.

Kim is of course, no stranger to using social media and technology to drive his business and brand recognition. He wanted owners and potential owners to be able to see the horses excercising on his gallops as well as to share his fabulous Costwold training location. The live view has been a tremendous addition to his award winning racing and training blog.

"My blog and social media generally are a powerfull tool for me and my business. The gallops camera has been a real asset to the strategy allowing people from all over the world to see what I do and where we do it. The view from the camera tells the transparent story of horses in training but also acts as showcase for our wonderful Costwold location."

About Us

Passion For Technology and Farming

Like all good tech businesses, Agricamera was an idea that was born in a bedroom in 2012. The idea was that of the young founder, Jake Withecombe, who spotted that wireless technology was changing the way that CCTV could be used in the great outdoors. With his passion for farming and his natural ability to know “how things work”, he founded a company, built and sold his first product and the rest is history. Not content with just starting AgriCamera, Jake also found time to found TheFarmingForum and to start his own nichefarming business Haylage.co.uk, actively farming 240 acres in Devon.

Brilliantly Simple

Jake’s motivation for the business was based on an insight - whilst he just seemed to understand how things worked, he realised that he was in a very small minority. He knew that most farmers simply didn’t have the time or the inclination to understand technology and that meant he had to make his technology accessible; or “Brilliantly Simple” as he described it. He knew his customers just wanted the product to work “out of the box”, capable of being assembled and self installed by someone with little or no technology expertise. Since 2012, he and the team have sought to meet the “Brilliantly Simple” mantra leading to the product as it is today.

We Love Our Product

The magic of the product is in the software, the part that works so well that our customers never know how important it is! Behind the cameras and all of the rest of the hardware is a “platform” that has taken many years to develop and evolve; and it is still evolving now, meeting the needs of our customers in agriculture, whether it is calving, lambing, foaling or poultry. Unlike our competitors, it is our own design; specifically built around the business that is agriculture and providing the feature and benefits that they need. Faurthermore having our own platform means that we can provide the highest level of service, working remotely with customers wherever they are.
